Primary 5 and 6 have been thoroughly enjoying our new Maths topic: Data Handling.
The children have been learning how to read and create a range of charts, including bar charts, pictograms, and tally charts. They have also been developing their understanding of the importance of using accurate keys when interpreting and presenting information.
To put their learning into practice, the pupils conducted an investigation into our class’s favourite crisp flavours. They collected data, organised their findings, and represented the results using the different chart types they have been studying; each one designed using a key.
Of course, the highlight of the activity was getting to enjoy a bag of crisps at the end as a reward for all their hard work in gathering and presenting data!
