The annual 5km run was a fantastic success. Events like this take a great deal of planning and do not happen overnight. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in organising the event—from coordinating with the PSNI and arranging volunteers, to assigning positions, preparing first aid kits, providing water and Jaffa Cakes for the children, and timing each runner.
This event would not take place without the support of our wonderful volunteers.
Judging by the smiles on their faces, the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The same might not be said for all our determined runners but that’s what it takes to be a true athlete! It was a challenging distance, particularly for our P3–P4 pupils, and we are very proud of their efforts.
