A huge congratulations to our incredible P6/7 girls who made history today by winning the Fermanagh Cumann na mBunscol Division 4 Gaelic Football competition! This is a truly special achievement and a proud moment for everyone at Killyhommon Primary School.
We are immensely proud of the girls—not just for their victory, but for the dedication, teamwork, and spirit they’ve shown throughout the competition. A heartfelt thank you goes to Imelda Jones, who has been coaching the girls this term. Her time, encouragement, and commitment have helped the team flourish.
We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to the coaches from Derrygonnelly Harps, who support many of our girls through their club football. Your guidance has clearly made a lasting impact.
Today was a day to remember—not just for the players, but for the whole school community. The support from classmates, staff, and families was incredible. From the cheers of our pupils to the proud faces of parents, grandparents, and neighbours who took time out of their busy day to come and support the team—thank you. You are all a credit to our school. Thank you to the whole school, who formed a guard of honour for the winning team on their return to school.
A special mention must go to every girl who played in the earlier group stages. Their hard work and determination paved the way to today’s success.
