P5/6 had great fun in their outdoor learning lesson based around their maths topic perimeter and area. The children had to draw a quick sketch of the perimeter of the playground and then estimate how many steps/ strides they think it would take to measure the perimeter of the playground and then estimate how many metres the playground would be. They then used trundle wheels and metre stick to measure the actual perimeter of the playground. It was a great lesson!
