Primary 3 and 4 had a blast during their Outdoor Learning session this week. We went on the hunt for minibeasts in the school playground.
Niamh, Anna and Molly had a head-start and found a ladybird during their lunchtime play.
As a class, we found an army of ants, a slimy slug, a busy beetle, crawling centipedes and a wriggly worm! Some children were even brave enough to hold the minibeasts in their hands!
Prior to our lesson, we discussed the importance of protecting the habitats of the minibeasts and making sure that we left them the way we found them.
