Our P7 pupils had a fantastic afternoon enjoying their outdoor learning session!
As part of our new topic on The Titanic, the children took their learning outside to explore a range of practical activities. Working in groups, they designed and created rivers, boats and bridges, while others explored measuring capacity using outdoor materials.
Teamwork was a key element of the lesson, and the children had to negotiate with their classmates to join different groups and decide on roles. There was plenty of hard work too as some pupils even discovered the skill of proper digging (and a few learnt that digging for 10 minutes can make your hands tired!).
Overall, the class developed a wide range of new skills and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
We’re already looking forward to seeing how their outdoor learning develops next week!
