Our P7 pupils have enjoyed an exceptionally busy and exciting week!

13th Mar 2026

On Monday, the class welcomed some very special visitors. Barry McElduff, Chairperson of FODC, and other employees of FODC called in during their Irish lesson, much to the children’s delight. They also took part in Gaelic coaching with Mr Garrity, while a team of girls travelled to Derrygonnelly Credit Union for the local table quiz. The girls performed brilliantly, securing second place, missing out on first by just one point!

On Wednesday, the children travelled to Lough Navar for their Shared Education activities. Despite the strong winds, the pupils showed great resilience and took part in all the planned outdoor learning experiences.

Thursday brought a very proud moment as some of our P7 pupils confidently led the Stations of the Cross in the Sacred Heart Church.

Some of the class made beautiful cards for Frances wishing her a speedy recovery.

To round off the week, the class visited St Patrick’s PS on Friday to take part in their Love for Life RSE session.
Órlaith's Mum called in to the class to go over their Irish song for Green Day.  Go raibh maith agat, Sharon.

Amidst all this activity, the children still found time to create a beautiful Mother’s Day gift to bring home.

We wish all our wonderful mothers a very happy Mother’s Day, and we keep in our thoughts all those whose mothers are no longer with us.
