My goodness, what a week P1/2 have had building up to Easter! We have loved the egg-citement of all the Easter activities! The Easter Bunny has been visiting almost everyday leaving little eggs on the children's chairs but it surprised us all today by leaving chocolate eggs outside for the children to find! It's a pity we can't catch it in action!! The children have loved singing 'Hot Cross Buns' and many thanks to Maeve and Ollie for bringing in hot cross buns to share with the class. We have learnt all about the Easter story and today made edible 'tombs' with the 'stone' rolled away to symbolise the story of the Resurrection. For High Five Tuesday the children were set a fun task to choose something cool to put into an egg and write three clues. It was brilliant guessing and well done to the children for speaking and listening so well! I know we have some more guessing to do tomorrow and we can't wait!
