This week is Money Week in school so today P1/2 children turned into budding young entrepreneurs! The children had great fun making their very own lemonade from scratch. They carefully rolled and squeezed fresh lemons, added sparkling water, sugar and ice then proudly taste-tested the finished drink, which went down a treat!
The class agreed on a price of 5p per cup, giving them lots of valuable practice in counting coins and understanding the concept of money.
Our little entrepreneurs are now keen to continue their business venture and are already making plans to produce even more lemonade to sell to other classes… so watch this space!
