P7 children began the morning working with Áine McGahey from the EA Youth Team, focusing on preparing for their upcoming transition to post-primary school. The session provided valuable guidance and helped the children think about this exciting next step.
Later on, Matthew’s dad kindly visited the class to make traditional boxty. He shared a special family recipe that has been passed down through generations. For many of the children, this was their first time tasting boxty and it was a huge success! Most pupils thoroughly enjoyed it, with some even going back for seconds (and thirds!).
To finish the day, the children took part in a lively and energetic drama lesson with Abbi, where they had great fun expressing themselves and developing their confidence.
